To help fulfil this ambition you will play a key role in collaborating with businesses, communities and intermediary agencies to meet our social responsibilities, by driving innovation and growth through effective knowledge exchange (KE) practices.

In this role you will:

  • Create an effective knowledge exchange environment aligned to the Enterprise Strategy and wider University growth plans ensuring internal and external partners know what we have to offer & the transfer of knowledge is accessible and utilised
  • Forge strong partnerships and collaborations between diverse stakeholders to create opportunities through external engagement to increase external income generation targets and Knowledge Exchange ambitions
  • Attract and source external funding opportunities aligned to the University’s knowledge exchange ambitions particularly through UKRI (Innovate UK) and the Greater Lincolnshire Devolution Deal
  • Scale up our Knowledge Transfer Partnership portfolio to maximise commercialisation of our academic research

What we are looking for:

  • Exemplary communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to different stakeholders (industry partners, community groups, policymakers)
  • Ability to foster strong collaborative partnerships identifying mutual benefits by having a keen awareness of our academic and external stakeholder needs
  • Facilitate capacity building and creative approaches to support academic engagement and collaboration with external partners including planning & executing initiatives to contribute to a dynamic & impactful KE culture
  • Ability to identify research-led KE opportunities across our two colleges with potential real-world applications and align to relevant funding opportunities
  • You will be expected to work flexibly including across the University campuses, in person external meetings held locally, regionally and nationally as required as well as the opportunity to work from home using Microsoft teams.
