Description:
The Role
We are assisting a globally renowned retail company in finding a dynamic and experienced Business Expansion Manager to join their team. This role focuses on strategic growth, store development, and building strong industry relationships to support the company’s ambitious expansion plans. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Evaluation: • Identify, survey, evaluate, and propose potential areas for expansion. • Analyze business reports, understand challenges, and propose actionable improvements aligned with the company’s strategic direction. Lease Negotiation & Legal Risk Management: • Negotiate rental and tenancy terms with landlords and developers. • Review and analyze legal risks in lease agreements and propose effective countermeasures. Store Development & Opening: • Oversee store opening processes, ensuring alignment with schedules and standards. • Lead the Business Expansion team to achieve KPIs, including targeted store openings. • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure a smooth store opening process. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building: • Build strong relationships with landlords, developers, investors, local councils, and customs officers. • Represent the company professionally in corporate events and key negotiations. Compliance & SOP Adherence: • Ensure compliance with government regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. • Stay updated on relevant laws, rules, and regulations in the retail fashion industry.
Requirements
Educational Background: • Bachelor’s degree in retail/property management, real estate, business, or a related field. Experience: • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail management, with exposure to retail leasing, strategic expansion, and store development projects (e.g., scrap and build, renovations). Skill Set & Knowledge: • Proven expertise in building relationships with developers, landlords, and retail property owners. • Strong understanding of laws, rules, and regulations related to the retail fashion industry. • Highly organized, systematic, and capable of working independently. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and tech-savvy. Other Requirements: • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. • Must possess own transportation. • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
