The ideal candidate is someone who can identify emerging trends, craft compelling narratives, and bring to life the stories behind India’s most dynamic brands, campaigns, and marketing leaders. This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine analytical rigor with creative storytelling to produce feature articles, in-depth interviews, and thought-provoking analyses that resonate with both industry insiders and business decision-makers. You will be responsible for delivering original content across print, digital, and multimedia platforms, helping shape how our readers understand the ever-evolving world of consumer and marketing strategy. Key Responsibilities Story Development & Reporting: Identify, research, and write engaging feature stories on advertising, retail, marketing, and consumer-facing businesses. Industry Analysis: Track and interpret market trends, advertising campaigns, consumer insights, and innovations shaping the marketing ecosystem. Thought Leadership: Deliver thought-provoking articles that unpack strategic shifts, creative breakthroughs, and business outcomes across brands and agencies. Networking & Relationship Building: Cultivate strong professional relationships with CMOs, CXOs, agency leaders, marketing heads, and other industry stakeholders to uncover exclusive insights and interviews. Editorial Collaboration: Work closely with editors to conceptualize and execute cover stories, special issues, and theme-based feature packages. Content Creation for Multiple Formats: Write for print, digital, and multimedia formats, ensuring consistency in tone, clarity, and depth across platforms. Interviewing: Conduct and script impactful interviews that bring out the business, creative, and leadership dimensions of marketing and brand stories. Fact-Checking & Accuracy: Maintain the highest editorial standards of accuracy, relevance, and factual integrity in all content produced. Audience Engagement: Write with a voice that resonates with business audiences—combining analytical insights with a compelling narrative style to engage C-suite leaders, strategists, and marketing professionals. Collaboration with Visual Teams: Coordinate with designers, photographers, and video teams to develop rich multimedia storytelling experiences that complement your written pieces. Deadline Management: Handle multiple assignments simultaneously, meeting publication deadlines without compromising on quality or depth of analysis. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business journalism, feature writing, or editorial roles—preferably within media outlets focused on marketing, advertising, or consumer business. Strong understanding of marketing, branding, consumer behavior, and advertising trends. Proven ability to generate original story ideas and deliver crisp, insightful features under tight deadlines. Excellent interviewing skills and the ability to translate complex business topics into accessible, engaging narratives. Exceptional command of English with a strong eye for storytelling, structure, and editorial precision. Familiarity with digital publishing tools, SEO, and audience analytics is a plus. A network of industry contacts across marketing, retail, and media sectors is highly desirable.
