SUMMARY
NSA is seeking passionate Business Management and Acquisition professionals to work as Business Financial Managers (BFM).
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience must be in a business or finance related area (for example, analyzing/monitoring budgets and expenditures).
ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and no experience.
FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience.
EDUCATION
The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.
Degree must be in Business or a related field (for example, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Public Administration).

Business Financial Managers work as part of a team that handles a wide range of budgetary tasks to effectively manage the total financial affairs of an organization, department, or program by executing financial transactions, performing regular cost analyses, and translating past, present, and proposed resource actions into meaningful and relevant budgetary information for their customers.
Responsibilities of a Business Financial Manager include, but are not limited to:
Validating availability of funds.
Preparing and monitoring procurement requisitions through to certification and execution. - Preparing and presenting financial information to management.
Networking and collaborating with counterparts across several different work roles and organizations, both inside and outside of NSA, to establish a financial profile and spend plan that supports the organization’s priorities and requirements.
