Job description – Business/Functional Analyst – Software Development (Agile Squad) Context & Department You will join the IT department of a large organization, which counts approximately 450 collaborators, including more than 200 people dedicated to software development. The position is within the Core Engine Delivery department, responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of IT solutions, and structured into multiple Tribes. You will be part of a squad within the Tribe "Functions", a transversal tribe delivering back-end and/or front-end applications for internal business stakeholders. The squad operates in an Agile environment, with: - A Product Owner responsible for business value and priorities - A Scrum Master facilitating Agile practices - An autonomous and accountable team composed of Business/Functional Analysts and Front-end, Back-end or Full-stack Developers - An N+1 acting as a support and coaching role, not micromanagement The consultant is expected to integrate fully into the squad and actively contribute to its delivery and continuous improvement. This is a 6-month assignment, starting January 2026. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities - Translate business needs into clear functional analyses and user stories, aligned with Agile practices. - Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to refine requirements and ensure business value. - Coordinate and support the implementation of software solutions within the squad. - Define functional specifications in collaboration with the architecture team. - Actively support architects and software engineers during the development and implementation phases. - Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives). - Test solutions in the integrated environment and/or support internal clients during acceptance testing. - Support release management activities and ensure functional readiness. - Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and propose optimal functional solutions. - Analyze the impact of changes on existing modules and proactively report potential issues. - Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement within the squad. - Maintain up-to-date documentation and functional knowledge through self-learning and knowledge-sharing sessions. Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities - Perform quality assurance and functional impact analysis. - Validate final solutions from an end-user perspective. - Produce and maintain functional documentation and reporting. - Apply best practices and contribute to continuous improvement actions. - Provide functional advice and expertise to stakeholders. - Support software deployment and post-release phases. - Create user guides and functional manuals. Technical Profile Requirements - More than 5 years of experience in a similar role. - Very good knowledge of MS Office tools. - Very good knowledge of Business Analysis. - Very good knowledge of IT architecture. - Good knowledge of business rules modeling. - Good knowledge of software testing. - Working knowledge of enterprise architecture. - Working knowledge of project management. - Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence. Non-Technical Profile Requirements - Strong sense of ownership and responsibility toward internal client satisfaction. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Ability to maintain a helicopter view and identify improvement opportunities. - Comfortable working on multiple topics in parallel with limited supervision. - Quick learner, proactive and autonomous. - Strong collaboration mindset and team-player attitude. - Able to work effectively in a self-organized Agile team. Methodology / Education - Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience. Language Skills - French and english: mandatory.
