Education

  • Bachelor’s in business, Information Technologies, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional designation (CFA, CBAP/CCBA, FRM, PRM or CAIA) is an asset

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or in computer science and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the financial investment industry, more specifically in public markets, is a crucial asset.
  • Knowledge of public markets trades/instrument lifecycle (Swaps, TRS, CDS, Fixed Income, etc.) and experience with Back-office and accounting processes are strong assets.
  • Financial certification (i.e CFA, FRM, etc,) is a plus
  • Proficient with SQL tools for data analysis, mining is a crucial asset
  • Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension and Bloomberg suites solution is a asset.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake is an asset
  • Working knowledge of traditional database/infrastructure: Windows, Microsoft (MS) SQL Server
  • Excellent French and English language verbal and written communication skills*.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the function which requires interactions with national and international clients

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be a key contributor to a multi-year implementation initiative that aims to simplify the client applications landscape, streamline operations and improve financial reporting:
  • Take ownership of requirements translation into user stories and of functional/ technical specifications.
  • Take a lead role into testing lifecycle (Regression, Integrated and UAT testing) while ensuring proper documentation
  • Perform impact analysis and suggest adjustments to business operations and system procedures.
  • Participate in deliveries and support users during deployment.

In addition, be a contributor on existing Public Markets Solutions:

  • Participate in support maintenance, incident resolution, problem solving. Will have to do night support.
  • Take ownership of complex problem-analysis assignments, recommend enhancements and being an enabler of their implementation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Proficiency and experience as a business/ functional analyst.
  • Experience in the financial investment industry and/or Experience in the private market investment.
  • Expertise in financial instruments and their lifecycles;
  • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Solid ability to produce and maintain documentation (for example system specifications, use cases, test scenarios, reports and presentations);
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills (French and English);
  • Experience with Back-office and accounting processes in an investment context - an asset;
  • Knowledge of process modeling methodologies - an asset;

Professional background

  • 5+ years of experience business and system analysis experience in financial investment applications and solutions.

Education
