Description

This is an opportunity to take up an exciting role at an entry level without our business that works across marketing, external affairs and sales/business development, providing an opportunity to develop new skills and progress into different areas of the business where you see fit.

The basic elements of the role are to:

  • Outreach to strategic partners and sales targets which are provided to you by management teams within the business – this could be to research and content councils, government departments, developers, investors, associations, and the wider supply chain within the built environment.
  • Initially all outreached content will be provided to you including the copy/text to send to them
  • Your role will be to identify the correct person/peoples and discover their contact details, outreaching to them via email, LinkedIn, or other methods
  • Your role will be to ensure you’re co-ordinated and organised enough to follow up with these individuals and if unsuccessful explore other people or approaches to engage with that company

Success looks like:

  • Adding circa 200-people to a database each week which become targets for the marketing and sales team
  • Ensure that lead generation is happening through your research and outreach, generating leads, sales and new partnerships
  • Progression to move away from the targets being provided to you, and receiving pre-written copy/text from the team to be doing this yourself
  • Become confident enough to do your own outreach at areas like competitor or targeted events

Progression could come via the marketing team who aim to generate new business leads, the external affairs/content team who manage relationships and the event programme/content, or the sales team who naturally are focused on converting leads. This role enables you to understand the business and understand what each customer is looking to get from UKREiiF and therefore a strong position to move into any of the above three teams in the future.
What we’re looking for:
Someone who is pro-active, driven and wants to make a career within the industry. We want someone who is hard-working and focused, who is organised enough to be able to keep on top of the numerous tasks and follow-ups that are required with this sort of role.
The expectation is that this is a role based at Thorpe Park on the outskirts of Leeds. The role has no official working from home agreement and depends on the position of the business at the time – for quiet times we may have 3-days in the office and 2-working from home, and likewise in the weeks leading up to UKREiiF the demand might be 5-days in the office.
Benefits and salary:
Annual Salary - £25,397
Potential to earn up to 15% of annual wage in bonus

Interview:
We feel this role is very much about the individual and less about what we can find out in a structured 30-minute sit down interview. Therefore if we invite you to an interview stage the interview will be yours to arrange – we’ll provide you with up to £100 to organise an interview ideally around our office at Thorpe Park or in Leeds. You could spend nothing and we could go for a walk, or you could do something interactive. It’s completely up to you. The interview will include two members of the UKREiiF team.
