Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure the administration for the Natural Resources business line on all HSE related areas, including legal compliance, client requirements and H&S Management system requirements is well instituted and maintained. RESPONSIBILITIES Generic Responsibilities Form part of H&S projects, H&S campaigns, Top Page objectives, site TIER objectives etc. and ensure targets are met for all locations in Natural Resources. Assist with the implementation and roll-out of these projects. Be able to log near-misses & incidents into Crystal as per SGS HSMS procedures. Assist Business H&S Manager to monitor and keep track of site specific TIER KPI’s as well as Affiliate Top Page and provide monthly feedback. Attend monthly meetings (Departmental & Business Line) and prepare monthly information as required by the Business H&S Manager. Implement HSMS and local health, safety & environmental regulatory requirements for all sites as per TIER Requirements. Conduct HS training aligned with HSMS and local regulatory requirements. Manage clear HSE related communication between role players (H&S, Coordinators and Management) Visit sites and provide face-to-face trainings too upskill H&S Resources on relevant H&S topics. Adhere and ensure adherence to all safety requirements of the SGS management system. Perform any reasonable tasks assigned to the job holder to support the overall H&S strategy Specific Responsibilities Take full control of the Natural Resources H&S document control system, to be in line with the SGS High Level system requirements. (Register, formatting, distributing, controlling of documents) Coordinate the collection and hand-out of dosimeters. To ensure accurate and comprehensive minutes are taken at H&S meetings. Effectively assist locations with admin related queries and concerns relevant H&S systems (Such as Stellar, Crystal and Chemwatch). Also ensure that all responsible H&S Personnel have been thoroughly trained on the H&S Systems. Conduct H&S training aligned with HSMS and other admin related tasks (KPI etc). Report site KPI’s (by obtaining information from the sites, and ensure correct data / information is reported to Global) Report and keep track of all Business H&S KPI’s and H&S Top Page objectives on a monthly basis. Be the Communication Officer for the Business and communicate H&S topics as per communication plan. Order and distribute (e.g. Courier) relevant H&S materials, Clothing, stationary etc, and maintain stock sheets of such items. Assist auditors with capturing of audit reports & NCR’s on Crystal module. Run the Reward & Recognition program for the Natural Resources Business Line Be innovative and creative and run with campaigns within the Natural Resources Business Line Assist Business H&S Manager with any other admin related tasks as needed by the Business H&S Manager. SPECIFIC AUHORITIES Implement SGS wide H&S activities at the site including Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Best Practice Sharing, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS, etc. to assure compliance with OIMS and Country regulatory requirements. Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or entry to hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection and take action to address the hazard. Cease to carry on with work that may affect the quality (integrity) of services and take action to address the issue. Initiate a formal improvement request when a deviation of the system occurs, possible improvements are identified or when nonconformity is identified.
