The Ministry of Transportation is seeking a skilled Business Information Analyst to support high-level decision-making through expert analysis, strategic communications, and proactive issues management. In this role, you’ll craft executive briefing materials, lead special projects, and provide critical insights on emerging issues that shape Ontario’s transportation policies and operations.

ORGANIZATIONAL AND PLANNING SKILLS:

  • You have well-developed planning and organizational skills
  • You can adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a high pressured environment

COMMUNICATION KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • You have well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy
  • You have strong written communication skills along with knowledge of communications techniques and practices related to writing and editing materials

ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND ISSUES MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE:

  • You have analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • You have knowledge of issues management to research issues, identify potentially contentious issues and to advise senior management

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • You have knowledge of government structure, policy development and decision-making processes and legislative requirements
  • You have knowledge and experience using a variety of computer software (i.e. spreadsheet, graphics, word processing, database and presentation applications)
