Job Title: Business Insight Analyst
Reports to: Business Insights Manager
Basis: Full Time
Location: Stafford office and up to 2 days remote working per week

SALARY: UP TO 42K

The Business Insight function has a high profile in Topcashback, supporting all levels of decision making in strategic and operational departments across the group, and we are looking for a Business Insight Consultant to deliver analytical projects and reporting solutions and to add value to a value-adding team.
The ideal candidate would be excited by the prospect of working in a company stripped of unnecessary corporate governance and where independent self-starters have the autonomy to make a real difference.
This position will suit an analyst looking for real opportunities to have an impact in a business dedicated to being data led.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and getting to the core of challenges quickly
  • Methodical approach to analysis and attention to detail
  • Experienced in driving action from analysis of large and complex datasets
  • Ability to manage multiple insight and analytical projects at the same time
  • Able to build effective relationships and manage stakeholders through strong commercial awareness
  • Curiosity and strong on independent research and self-development
  • A relevant degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science etc) or practical experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the entire Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of developing reporting solutions and data visualisations using business intelligence tools e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos etc

DESIRABLE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience of Qlik Sense or Qlik View
  • SQL skills and a solid understanding of database design
  • Experience in evaluating marketing campaigns, developing statistical and commercial models and/or a background in operational research
Responsibilities
  • Lead projects that provide analysis that will drive the strategical direction of the business
  • Make recommendation based on data and support stakeholders in turning these recommendations into actions
  • Work directly with business functions to identify analytical and reporting needs in line with business priorities
  • Build self-serve dashboards that give stakeholders the data they need to make decisions at their fingertips
  • Help deliver insight assets including KPI’s, customer segmentations and customer value models
  • Support teams across the business in furthering their understanding of data and how to use it by answering questions, providing instruction or producing appropriate documentation
