Are you a creative and innovative thinker, skilled in analyzing data and in developing data mining and business intelligence applications? Are you able to review complex data, leveraging multiple sources of internal data into comprehensive and meaningful decision support? Do you have experience presenting business data for non-technical individuals, bridging communication gaps between users and the IT department?
CMCC is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to provide critical insights for data obtained through various data collection processes through the Division of Clinical Education. The successful candidate will provide assistance in forecasting results for clinical site planning and academic program development, as well as in extraction and interpretation of research data, and act as backup support for various academic processes within the Division of Clinical Education. Key to this role is insightful and critical review of what the data “means”.
-SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SQL, including database creation and maintenance.
· Familiarity with SQL (SSMS), Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
· Proficient in advanced Microsoft 365 products including Excel, Power Automate, SharePoint and Teams integration.
· Prior experience in creating Power BI reports and dashboards.
· Demonstrates a clear and reasoned understanding of how artificial intelligence and machine learning intersect with healthcare delivery, with attention to how data-driven systems support decision-making, patient care, and workflow design - anchored in practical or academic exposure.
· Strong critical thinking, structured reasoning, and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams are essential.
· Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
· Possesses integrity, initiative with strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
· Team leader who is also a problem solver and decision maker along with strong customer focus and experience with development and mentoring others

· Collaborates with business users to determine appropriate standard, ad hoc and customized reporting for Clinic Management (CMT). Building reports in Power BI based on the business requirements.
· Performs analysis and develops reports on patient data, student academic performance, clinic performance, and clinic finances.
· Creates necessary flows using Power Automate to ensure data is captured for reporting.
· Develops databases and uses output to provide analysis for CMT in support of operations and planning, while communicating complex technical topics with clarity and precision, adapting language to suit interdisciplinary and leadership audiences.
· Delivering the end product to users and training users in the interpretation of results.
· Confirms recency of OSCAR data warehouse. Troubleshoots data related issues, resolves issues when possible, or refers to CMCC IT (Information Technology).
· Confirms recency of student competency data and troubleshoots data related issues, referring to IT if required.
· Queries databases on demand to provide research data and analysis in support of research initiatives.
· Develops and maintains databases and reports related to quality assurance mechanisms (File Audits), and patient feedback (PES).
· Design and interpret analytical models in a clinical or operational setting using a strong foundation in applied statistics, including regression, clustering, and multivariate analysis.
· Performs other duties as required, including attending various meetings within and outside the department.
· Some travel to the GTA clinics is required.
