We currently have an opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst. Join our Finance & Performance Hub team and play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, by transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. Reporting to Data Analytic and Reporting Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. This is a maternity leave cover contract from end of March to Mid-November. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI and data sourced from database and datalake. Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights into business performance. Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs, translating requirements into effective BI solutions. Write and optimise SQL queries to prepare report-ready datasets and support analytical use cases. Collaborate closely with data engineers and architects to ensure data models, pipelines, and reporting layers are scalable, performant, and fit for purpose. What You’ll Bring A tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, business or related discipline. Experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field. Proven experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Apps, and Paginated Reports. Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and cloud-based BI solutions is preferred. Hands-on experience with Databricks. Working with Delta tables / Lakehouse concepts and query optimisation and performance awareness. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and an understanding the Lakehouse architecture (bronze / silver / gold layers) More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
