On behalf of our technology client, Procom is searching for a Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate for a contract role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Edmonton office.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Intelligence Analyst - Intermediate will be part of a team responsible for delivering business intelligence capabilities to support both internal and external stakeholders’ information needs. This role involves working with various data sets and technology products to meet the growing demand for information.

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience with SAP and Power BI
  • Strong data analysis and data mining skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in gathering and documenting requirements
  • Proficiency in performing quality assurance on deliverables
  • Ability to work onsite in Edmonton, Alberta

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST - INTERMEDIATE – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with educational or financial data sets
  • Familiarity with control processes such as schedule and risk management
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience in a multi-vendor environment
  • Understanding of metadata management
Responsibilities
  • Contribute as part of a team to deliver business intelligence capabilities
  • Deliver work products based on diverse data sets including education, finance, and census data
  • Work with technology products like SAP and Power BI
  • Collaborate effectively with in-house and contract resources
  • Analyze data and prepare information results
  • Gather and document requirements
  • Design and construct information products
  • Capture business and technical metadata for information products

  • Respond to ad-hoc information inquiries
  • Perform data analysis, data quality audits, statistical analysis, and data mining
  • Escalate issues and risks as appropriate
