Duties of the Senior Business Analyst

• Examine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequences;
• Synthesise business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms;
• Draft business analyst artefacts and documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, business process modelling, data discovery and analysis, problem tracking and sequence diagrams;
• Assist team members to effectively document the systems and solutions that the team develops, delivers and maintains;
• Have the ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards;
• Foster a positive culture within the team aligned with Agency values.

Skills and Experience Required

• Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years, working in a similar role performing business analysis activities including workshop facilitation, supporting the successful delivery of high‑impact and high‑value initiatives;
• Proven experience in roles relating to cloud platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services or Azure native systems) including delivery of new services, and mobile application and/or web application development;
• Experience in one of the following areas:
  • mobile applications and or web application development,
  • SAS tools or data platforms.
