POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence (BI)/ Data Analyst is a critical role within Scotsman Guide, responsible for managing and analyzing data to support informed decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. This position involves handling all aspects of data activities, including data extraction, transformation, and visualization, as well as assisting the Engineering Manager with a variety of technical and strategic initiatives. These include research, process automation, web/application support, QA testing, and other engineering-related tasks.
The BI/Data Analyst works closely with the engineering and cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, develop data-driven insights, and implement technological solutions that align with Scotsman Guide’s strategic goals. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Excellent Power BI skills. Expert user of Excel. Experience with SQL.
· Proficient in Google Analytics.
· Working knowledge of basic statistics including Regression, ANOVA, etc…
· Experience with mathematical modeling and AWS Redshift a plus.
· Experience with Data Warehouse and ETL.
· Knowledge of U.S. data privacy laws.
· Project management skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Great at testing/validating BI and data analytics solutions.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently.
· Excellent attention to details and able to deliver high quality work on schedule.
· Great at following established department processes and protocols.
· Open to learn new skills required to implement and maintain data warehouse solutions.
· Positive, helpful, collaborative, work well with others and open to feedback.
· Flexible to assist with other department tasks as needed.
· Experience with Atlassian products (i.e., Jira and Confluence).
· Familiar with the agile development process.
