Waymo's Product Data Science team works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Operations to help the company make the most informed decisions using data. Our team collaborates on high-impact projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new information. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and you will report to the Manager of Product Data Science. You will: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Program Managers to identify the right measurement for business performance, design and implement foundational data pipelines, and build the right reports and visualizations to drive insights Develop deep understanding of various metrics, datasets, and data sources in relation to the rich business and operational context across the entire product landscape Build and maintain state of the art reporting infrastructure to enable continuous decision making Perform advanced analytical modelling as necessary to help drive the right decisions Drive a culture of excellence and help establish best practices within the broader data science team You have: 3+ years of experience in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience Ability to scope, structure, and solve ambiguous problems independently Coding experience with Python and SQL to design and implement complex data pipelines following best practices Statistical knowledge/data intuition Experience interacting with senior leadership We prefer: Experience in the AV industry / Mapping / Ridesharing / Consumer Tech / People Analytics The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements. Salary Range $125,000—$157,000 USD
