POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is a highly skilled data professional responsible for designing, developing, and deploying data-driven solutions across Alivia Care. This role transforms strategic and operational needs into actionable dashboards, models, and visualizations that empower decision-making across service lines.
The BI Developer works under a dual accountability structure — reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for priorities, execution focus, and alignment with strategic objectives, while collaborating closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for data infrastructure and system integration.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and/or experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required. Master’s preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing in Power BI, SQL Server, and enterprise BI tools.
  • Proficiency in DAX, T-SQL, data modeling, and ETL pipelines.
  • Experience integrating data from EHRs, finance systems, or healthcare operations tools is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Power Platform a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, especially value-based care, is highly desirable.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Strong technical ability in Microsoft BI Stack and Power BI service ecosystem.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret high-level business needs into clear data specifications.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with evolving data needs.

    Pay: $105,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

This role is critical to Alivia Care’s transformation into a data-informed organization and plays a key part in driving performance, value-based care readiness, and business intelligence maturity.

  • Translate business and clinical priorities into data requirements and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and paginated reports.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
  • Design and maintain semantic data models and tabular datasets for enterprise-wide reporting.
  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and Executive team to understand and refine organizational KPIs, decision support tools, and service line dashboards.
  • Partner with the Chief Information Officer to ensure clean, secure, and sustainable data architecture aligned with IT standards.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and user-friendliness of BI solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for datasets, data flows, and data governance.
  • Provide technical support to end users and iterate on feedback to improve report usability and relevance.
  • Participate in Agile sprint planning and project prioritization related to analytics and reporting.
  • Support ad hoc data analysis needs and prototype dashboards as needed for new programs or initiatives.
