Department: Information and Technology (IT) Status: Full Time Reports To: IT Manager Location: American Fork, UT  The Business Intelligence Developer is entrusted with high-level responsibilities encompassing business performance analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Working across multiple business functions, this individual collaborates with key stakeholders to gather technical requirements and transform them into innovative BI dashboards and reporting mechanisms using Microsoft Business Intelligence platforms, with a strong focus on Power BI. The role demands technical excellence, analytical rigor, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   * Gather and analyze requirements and develop a scope of work to communicate expectations and timelines. * Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. * Interpreting and analyzing data trends throughout the business to Identify problems and opportunities.  * Proactively manage report development to meet expectations of format and delivery timeframe. * Design, build, and manage scalable business intelligence solutions that prioritize centralized semantic models. This includes leveraging data warehousing technologies and Power BI. * Assist with the implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departments. * Administer Power BI workspaces, manage deployment pipelines, ensure secure access and data integrity. * Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and implement solutions. * Provides references for users by creating and maintaining user documentation and training to users. * Mentor junior developers and contribute to BI best practices and standards. * Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.  * Write complex SQL queries to collect and analyze data. * Investigate and correct data discrepancies. * Perform user acceptance testing.  * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:  * A bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred; equivalent technical experience will be considered. * Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with emphasis on solving problems independently. * Ability to communicate (written and oral) clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization. * At least 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Microsoft business intelligence tools. * Familiarity with Power BI features, such as AI visuals and forecasting tools is a plus but not required. * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is also a plus, though not required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform with or without accommodations * Consistent and reliable attendance * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
