BI DEVELOPER

Location: 100% Remote (must work EST hours)
Employment Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time)
Salary: $120,000 – $125,000 annually
Start Date: ASAP

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–7+ years of BI development experience
  • Strong SQL development background
  • Proven experience with Epic Clarity Data Models (certification preferred)
  • Expertise in Tableau and Power BI for business intelligence and statistical analysis
  • Hands-on experience building dashboards, creating data sources, and running exploratory analysis
  • Ability to present data insights clearly to leadership and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills; able to articulate needs and manage discussions with non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Python or R (to supplement heavy SQL development)
  • Experience with Epic Caboodle

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Seeking a highly skilled BI Developer to join a Clinical & Business Intelligence team. This role will focus on enterprise-wide reporting, dashboard development, data source creation, exploratory analysis, and project-based analytics. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly independent, and able to manage reporting projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop complex reports, dashboards, and BI applications using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Unix scripting, HTML, and Java
  • Build and optimize data sources, flow diagrams, and queries to support reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Perform data modeling and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical models (ER diagrams, process flows, data dictionaries)
  • Develop software solutions and prototypes based on system specs with an emphasis on reusability and efficiency
  • Support integration with data marts, BI platforms, and perform ad-hoc analyses for clinical, operational, and revenue-based reporting needs
  • Conduct testing (UAT, security, troubleshooting) and validate accuracy of BI outputs
  • Present analytic findings and dashboards to executive-level leadership, translating data into actionable insights and storytelling
  • Provide subject matter expertise on healthcare data, BI tools, and reporting processes
  • Mentor end users and junior team members while serving as the escalation point for BI/reporting issues
