We're looking for a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic analytics team! About The Role: As our Business Intelligence Developer, you'll be at the forefront of data intelligence, developing and maintaining cutting-edge BI applications that drive our business forward. What You'll Do: Business Intelligence & Analytics * Design and develop sophisticated BI reporting tools, data models, and visualizations across all areas of our business * Implement business logic and quality control for our reporting infrastructure * Leverage BI tools to audit and verify data integrity * Design, code, and test SQL queries that provide critical information to internal teams * Partner with stakeholders to extract meaningful business insights from data analysis * Create, maintain, and deliver automated reports that inform strategic decision-making * Lead analytic projects from initial specification through final presentation * Ensure exceptional data quality through comprehensive database analysis Data Administration & Management * Establish and manage robust data structures and management systems * Develop the data layer, cubes, metadata, and report functionality * Build and test data models that empower our internal teams * Automate recurring data management tasks to drive efficiency * Implement ETL processes for data warehouse projects and integrate data from multiple sources * Provide tools and quality control for data integration processes with our partners * Work across various company data repositories, including Sybase, V9, and Magenta * Collaborate with teams across MSH to resolve data quality issues What We're Looking For: Education & Experience * College or University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) * 4+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis and report creation * Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a strong asset * Background working with both structured and unstructured data is a plus Technical Skills * Must Have: Expert proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and ETL processes * Strong experience with Power BI, SQL Server, Excel, Integration Services, and Reporting Services * Expertise in relational and multidimensional data modeling * Ability to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions Nice to Have: Data mining capabilities * Understanding of data life cycles * Knowledge of predictive/prescriptive analytics techniques (regression, decision trees, machine learning) * Python proficiency Personal Attributes * Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving skills * Excellent documentation and communication abilities * Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team * Adaptable and open to change and innovation * Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines * Creative thinker who approaches challenges with fresh perspectives Language Requirements * Fluent in English (written and oral) * French or Spanish is an asset, but not required What's In It for You: * Hybrid work environment * Excellent health benefits * Employee assistance program * Wellness account * RRSP matching * Minimum 3 weeks’ vacation * A generous amount of sick and flex days * Tuition reimbursement program * Opportunities to learn new skills, grow, and move into different roles * A work environment that embraces diversity and promotes inclusivity. * Supportive leadership prioritizes your success and cares about your well-being. * A growth trajectory designed to expand vertically and horizontally, providing opportunities to pursue your passions and acquire new skills.
