Description:

ON SITE POSITION LOCATED IN SCHOFIELD, WI.

Summary: The BI Developer will collaborate with cross functional teams to understand their data needs, and develop tools for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data. This role will support the company’s business intelligence efforts by developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, analyzing datasets, understanding the source systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Possess a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, mathematics, computer science or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Previous experience as a business analyst or in a similar role is a plus.
  • Experience with Infor CSDE/M3, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Phocas, or Birst Analytics a plus, but not required.
  • Project participation experience, including understanding of application lifecycle management.
  • Proficient with source control and change management practices.

Working Demands / Physical Requirements:

  • General office conditions with continuous sitting with heavy computer usage.
  • Occasional short-term out-of-town travel for educational purposes.
  • Occasional after-hours support.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement internal process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop analysis, reports, dashboards, visualizations, and metrics as business needs dictate.
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and business opportunities.
  • Maintain and optimize data sources, datasets, and report performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, supply chain, finance, and operations.
  • Assist in data validation and quality assurance for reporting accuracy.
  • Utilize source control and change management practices for documentation and collaboration.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support on an as-needed basis.
  • Visualizing data with graphs, infographics, and other methods
  • Establishing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Structuring large data sets to find usable information
  • Processing information with a team of analysts and other associates
  • Crafting presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
  • Participate in the standardization of data and inputs into systems to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A BI Developer will possess and/or demonstrate the ability to:

  • Provide first-rate IT assistance and solutions.
  • Remain highly organized, flexible, and able to react well to immediate issues with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Be an initiative-taker and work with minimal supervision independently and/or with teammates.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data validation best practices.
  • Write and debug complex SQL/Transact-SQL/ OLAP queries/code.
  • Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques.
  • Effectively communicate, with an ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Learn innovative technologies and keep abreast of the latest technological advances.
  • Be motivated by the desire to make a difference in the business through collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
