Description

As a Data Analyst at The Pioneer, you bridge the gap between data and strategic decisions. You make complex relationships understandable, derive clear insights, and translate them into storylines and concrete recommendations for action. In doing so, you actively contribute to shaping our product, editorial, and marketing strategies. Furthermore, we are currently developing a Pioneer AI Analyst: an AI-powered solution that gives teams easy access to their data, for example, via tools like Claude or ChatGPT. With this, you not only bring analytical excellence but also help further develop the way we work with data at The Pioneer.

  • Storytelling with data: You analyze user behavior, content performance, web and app data, brand perception, and communication channels. In doing so, you identify relevant trends and optimization potential and derive data-driven recommendations for strategy and product development.
  • Stakeholder Management: You work closely with management, growth, marketing, product and editorial teams, making data and insights understandable and usable for different teams.
  • Data Architecture & Development: You will have the opportunity to delve deeper into data modeling and architecture and continuously develop our data model. You will also build self-service dashboards in our BI tool, which will support teams in making independent, data-driven decisions.
  • Tracking: You will share responsibility for our Google Analytics setup and ensure clean, reliable tracking.

What you bring

  • You have a completed degree with an analytical focus, for example in business informatics, data science, statistics or business administration with a data focus.
  • You bring professional experience in the field of data or business analytics – ideally in dealing with web and app data from the marketing, content or product environment.
  • You already have experience with common BI tools such as QuickSight, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Ideally, you have some initial experience with Google Analytics, tracking implementations, and tag management.
  • You have solid SQL knowledge, can write your own queries, and understand data models. Experience with dbt is a plus.
  • You enjoy working cross-functionally and bringing together different perspectives.
  • You have very good German skills, both spoken and written.
