The Opportunity: Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of network infrastructure, desktop environments, and office applications to ensure reliable and efficient IT operations. The role supports business objectives by delivering and maintaining systems that meet corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and customer needs. It contributes to the execution of network and IT initiatives, including projects that enable new technologies and business opportunities, while ensuring safe and efficient operations. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners, supporting project delivery, and maintaining effective communication across stakeholders. What You’ll Do: Responsible for the network infrastructure, desktop environment, and office applications. Work with internal and external engineering resources to meet corporate and customer requirements. This includes the development, implementation, and maintenance of network and infrastructure systems. Directly involved in major network initiatives and required to successfully deliver projects that drive the company toward new technologies and business opportunities in emerging markets. Expected to develop, implement, and maintain systems and processes that support safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operations in alignment with company goals and corporate expectations. Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies and standards. Ensure compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements. Ensure that IT infrastructure effectively supports organizational needs. Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders on matters related to IT infrastructure. Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in meeting deadlines and work schedules. Able to work effectively in a team environment comprising both infrastructure and application specialists. Capable of executing IT projects deployed locally or initiated by corporate groups. Develop and maintain routers, switches, Wi‑Fi systems, and other network hardware. Maintain and support the office, laboratory, and manufacturing network environments. Provide helpdesk support to plant personnel across a broad range of systems and platforms, including Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems. Support and administer the IP telephone system where applicable. Assist in specifying, planning, and procuring required IT hardware and software. Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to across plant IT systems. Identify new methods, technologies, and equipment that can improve plant efficiency and reduce costs. Communicate regularly with project teams, providing updates, reports, and project evaluations. Conduct technical training sessions for internal and external users. Lead design reviews to ensure solutions meet functional and business requirements. Oversee the integration of hardware, software, communication protocols, and user interfaces. Perform solution testing and prepare validation documentation where applicable. Ensure system usage and system changes comply with established policies and governance requirements. Coordinate with divisional and corporate infrastructure teams as needed for various operational and project activities. Support internal and external site audits. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position Understanding of GAMP 5 or SQA (Software Quality Assurance) or equivalent knowledge Excellent communication skills include the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level. Excellent attention to detail Demonstrates strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Experience in manufacturing industry preferred Location This position is based in Waikato District > Pokeno.
