Description

For our Legal and Compliance (L&C) team at the Bocholt site, in the home office or as a teleworking position we are looking for dedicated reinforcement.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • You are a lawyer or fully qualified lawyer or have successfully completed a degree in business law
  • You have relevant professional experience in an international industrial company
  • Comprehensive expertise in national, European and US export control law (EAR, OFAC regulations)
  • Knowledge of and experience with AEB, SAP/R3, SAP GTS and MS Office applications
  • You have experience with cross-border contracts, in particular with supply, purchase, work and service contracts
  • You enjoy working in interdisciplinary and international teams
  • You are not afraid to take on responsibility and familiarize yourself with new subject areas
  • You have a high level of commitment, the ability to cooperate and work in a team as well as an independent way of working
  • You are business fluent in written and spoken English

Responsibilities
  • Your role includes providing independent legal advice to the business units on all matters relating to national, European and US export control law
  • You will monitor legislative changes in national and international export control law and ensure that these legislative changes are implemented operationally together with the interface parties
  • You will further develop the existing Internal Compliance Program (ICP) as well as relevant work and procedural instructions for operational process assurance
  • You carry out regular audits and train your business partners independently in the area of export control law
  • As a lawyer, you will support your colleagues as required and review cross-border contracts, in particular supply, purchase, work and service contracts
  • You ensure effective risk management by proactively taking measures regarding export control risks and opportunities
  • In your role, you will report directly to the Group General Counsel of the Flender
