ROLE PURPOSE The Business Line Manager is responsible for leading and managing the performance of a defined business line within Altima Talent. The role focuses on driving commercial growth, expanding client relationships, ensuring profitable and compliant delivery of services, managing operational risk, and contributing to overall company performance in the Tanzanian market. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Lead operational management to ensure clients are serviced according to agreed Service Level Agreements. · Oversee branch and team performance, providing direction, coaching, and accountability to meet operational and commercial objectives. · Manage legal and financial risk by ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and internal policies. · Conduct regular branch audits to confirm compliance with internal procedures and company policies while optimizing client service and reducing risk exposure. · Drive business development initiatives through structured sales activity, targeting new clients and contract opportunities. · Manage client contracts, ensuring SLA compliance, financial viability, and mutually beneficial terms. · Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and associates, fostering collaboration across the operations team and interdepartmental workflows. · Track operational and commercial performance, reporting trends, forecasts, and actionable insights. · Oversee collections and financial processes linked to client contracts to ensure timely and accurate management of revenue streams. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS · Business Development – Expand the client base and increase associate headcount. · Client Relationships – Secure new clients and contracts while strengthening existing partnerships. · Profitability – Maintain or improve profit margins through effective management of pricing and operational costs. · Management of Cost to Serve – Monitor operations expenses and client contracts to optimize efficiency. · Operational Risk Management – Ensure statutory and legislative compliance across the business line. · Company Contribution – Support wider organizational initiatives and contribute to overall growth and service quality. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Finance, Operations Management, or related discipline. · Postgraduate qualification in Business, Management, or Human Resources is an advantage. · 7–10 years’ experience in recruitment, staffing, outsourcing, or workforce solutions, including 3–5 years in a leadership role. · Demonstrated experience managing client portfolios, service delivery teams, branch operations, and financial performance. · Working knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws, statutory compliance, and employment regulations. · Proven ability to manage business line profitability, operational cost control, and client contracts. · Experience with reporting performance metrics, operational trends, and supporting strategic planning.
