The Business Line Manager – Surface Drills, Southeast Asia is responsible for leading the strategic development, commercial execution, and operational performance of the Surface Drills business across the Southeast Asia Sales Area, spanning both mining and tunnelling segments. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring market leadership, sustainable growth, and customer satisfaction in line with Sandvik’s regional and global objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mining, Geotechnical, or a related technical field; a master’s degree in business/management is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the mining or tunnelling industry, with at least 5 years in a commercial or business leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Surface Drills products, services, and their application in mining and civil infrastructure.
• Proven track record in P&L management, sales strategy, and business development across Southeast Asia or similar emerging markets.
• Experience in partner/channel management, especially with dealers, contractors, or service providers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across operations, service, supply chain, and commercial functions.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to convert customer needs into profitable business solutions.
• Familiarity with EHS standards, ISO and compliance in operational environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (spoken and written); additional SEA regional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia as needed.
