Job Description – Business Manager (Food Factory: Beverages & Desserts / Soya Milk)
Position Overview
The Business Manager will oversee the end-to-end operations of our food & beverage manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on soya milk, beverages, and dessert products. This role requires a leader with solid experience in F&B production management, compliance (HALAL, HACCP, ISO, FSSC), and business expansion. The Business Manager will drive profitability, operational efficiency, and product innovation to strengthen our presence in both domestic and regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Business Growth
Develop business plans to expand sales across HORECA, retail, and OEM/ODM channels.
Identify new market opportunities in soya milk, beverages, desserts, and toppings.
Work closely with sales & marketing teams to align product strategy with market trends.
2. Factory & Operations Management
Oversee daily production, packaging, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Implement SOPs to maintain efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
Ensure production meets food safety, quality assurance, and HALAL/ISO/HACCP/FSSC standards.
Plan and supervise factory maintenance, machinery upgrades, and capacity expansion.
3. Financial & Administrative Oversight
Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost control for the factory and distribution operations.
Conduct performance reviews and financial analysis to maximize profitability.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and audit requirements.
4. Sales & Business Development
Drive partnerships with supermarkets, convenience chains, F&B outlets, and distributors.
Support OEM/ODM business opportunities for regional and export clients.
Coordinate with R&D to introduce new beverage and dessert SKUs aligned with consumer demand.
5. Leadership & People Development
Lead, coach, and motivate cross-department teams (production, QC, logistics, admin, sales).
Implement performance appraisals, training programs, and career growth paths.
Build a positive company culture emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years’ experience in F&B manufacturing, beverages, or dessert production.
Strong knowledge of soya milk/beverage production lines, packaging machinery, boiler systems, and cold-chain logistics.
Proven experience with HALAL, HACCP, ISO, FSSC, or BRC certification management.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English & Chinese/Malay) preferred for communication with suppliers and regulators
