We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Manager with proven experience in the aerospace tooling industry, or similar. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer requirements and internal capabilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in interpreting client needs, developing detailed technical specifications, and generating accurate and competitive and comprehensive quotations.

THE IDEAL BUSINESS MANAGER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • General Knowledge in the fields of : - business development, - project management and follow-up, contract negotiation and drafting bids.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • The ability to multi-task whilst remaining detail orientated.

Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with clients to understand technical and commercial needs.
  • Decipher and interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications (RFQs,
  • RFPs).
  • Identify key deliverables, compliance standards (e.g., AS9100), and timelines.
  • Translate client requirements into clear internal technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and alignment
  • with capabilities.
  • Ensure specifications meet tooling standards, including tolerances, materials, and
  • usage conditions.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and formal, comprehensive quotations, factoring in
  • material, labour, and subcontracting
  • Develop and manage proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and
  • technically sound.
  • Follow up with clients on proposals and adjust scope or pricing as required.
  • Act as the central liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, and procurement
  • teams.
  • Provide clear communication to internal teams regarding project requirements and
  • timelines.
  • Assist in project handover and ensure accurate documentation is maintained
  • throughout the process.
  • Stay informed about trends, competitors, and pricing strategies in the aerospace
  • tooling sector.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support business development initiatives.
