We are recruiting for a Business Manager for our Integrated Completions & Commissioning Services (ICCS) department at Accenture.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting safe delivery of projects
  • Supporting Project management and delivery, including scope definition and control; work package development; estimating; oversight of budgets, schedule, resources; application of technology; management of change (MOC); quality assurance / control; client relationship management; and performance reporting
  • Supporting Resource management, including hiring, directing, and managing personnel; overseeing productivity and non-productive time utilization; and conducting performance reviews
  • Continual improvement and execution of a functional completions and commissioning process
  • Supporting financial reporting, including orders, revenue, and profit margin planning and forecasting
  • Supporting business development (BD), including prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing opportunities
  • Proposal and content development support, including opportunity qualification, estimating support, subcontractor tender review, and supervision of proposal close-outs
  • Negotiation support of project opportunities, including articulating Accenture’s business/deliverables value proposition

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ICCS Business Manager will have 15 or more years of petrochemical, refining or oil and gas experience with at least 10 years of demonstrated commissioning experience, including mechanical completion-turnover, deficiency management (master punch), dry/wet commissioning, and project handover.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma or a minimum of 15 years of specific trade-discipline experience, combined with industry experience specific to industrial processes for the oil, gas, chemical, and / or power generation industries. PMP certification is considered an asset.

Ideal candidates will be creative and action-oriented and have demonstrated experience in the areas of:

  • Business Development (BD), including prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing opportunities
  • Team management, including day-to-day activities, training, mentorship, and career growth
  • Project management, including estimates/budgets, contracts, schedules, and MOC
  • Business management, including profit and loss
  • Completions and commissioning, including planning, work flow, and completions and commissioning management software/systems
  • Support and maintenance of system integrator programs
  • Customer interface and relationship building, particularly in the areas of business development and personal networking
  • Subject matter expertise in one of the following disciplines as it relates to system completion planning and commissioning (and familiarity with other disciplines):
  • Engineering
  • Instrumentation
  • Operations
  • Mechanical/Rotating Equipment
  • Electrical
  • Process

The successful candidate will be familiar with:

  • Engineering drawings and documentation, such as single line drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, isometrics, workflow, etc.
  • Mechanical completion turnover and project handover
  • Walkdown, inspections, punch-listing turnover, handover
  • Integrated lock out / tag out, notice of energization, and safe work permitting processes
  • Progressive turnover philosophies
  • Transfer of care custody and control process
