Description Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey is looking for energetic, fun, organized, and caring staff to provide memorable experiences to girls in a safe and engaging Summer Camp environment! Lake Rickabear Day Camp sits on 332 acres of land including a beautiful 40-acre, spring-fed lake, perfect for swimming, pedal boating, paddle boarding, and row boating. The Business Manager assists the Program director in administration and coordination of the camp operation by supervising all business aspects of the day camp operation, including food program, program supplies, timecard completion and budgeting. Immediate Supervisor: Camp Director Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Finance Reimburse staff for petty cash receipts weekly. Must be able to keep an accurate record of disbursements. Submit receipts and records to the Council office in a timely manner. Keeps purchases for food, program, etc. within confines of established budget. Keeps all receipts, invoices, supply account numbers, and attaches them to bills, for payment. Submits vouchers and attached bills to appropriate GSNNJ staff Keep records of camp season, compile a financial notebook, and submit it to the Camp Director. \ Transportation Responsible for overseeing daily loading and unloading of buses and campers being transported by parents according to safety regulations. Supervise the Bus Monitors. Assure they are making campers aware of safe conduct while riding the bus. Prepare all weekly paperwork for Bus Monitors. Conduct weekly bus evacuation drills in compliance with State, ACA & GSUSA standards. Record date, # of passengers and total evacuation time. Equipment Oversee pre- and post-camp inventory of equipment on hand and the condition of equipment before, during and after the camp season. Compiles a weekly list of supplies needed for camp and purchases needed items, on approval of the Camp Director. Daily Rate: $153 (new staff) - $158 per day (returning staff). This is based on a 8.5 hour work day, which translates to $18 - $18.59 per hour respectively. Requirements Minimum Age: 18+ years of age Training and/or experience in bookkeeping, record keeping, and other business procedures. Hold or be willing to obtain current certification of standard First Aid and CPR (training to be provided). Maintain or be willing to obtain current certification in Archery, Challenge Course, and/or Lifeguarding (training opportunities will be provided), and demonstrate a willingness to support other teams as needed. Physical Requirements Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds. Daily exposure to seasonal weather conditions. Must be able to work in a rustic camp environment with limited access to electricity, cell phone service and internet.
