Team: Revenues and Benefits
A new 12-month temporary role within Corporate Collection and Support has been created to provide senior managerial support to the development and implementation of a new Anti -Poverty strategy and response to for the council.
Accountable to: Executive Director Corporate Core
Immediately Responsible to: Head of Corporate Collection and Support
Immediately Responsible for: n/a
Location: Bury campus, community based and agile working.
The Business Manager for Tackling Poverty will play a lead role in the organisation’s efforts to reduce poverty and financial hardship for our residents.
Working within the Corporate Collection and Support service, the postholder will work with and alongside council departments, our voluntary partners, and external agencies to develop and improve our response to poverty and financial exclusion.
The postholder will help develop strategic policies, programmes, and partnerships that support residents in improving their financial security, social inclusion, and access to essential services, support and advice.
Alongside this, the postholder will work with the management team to ensure key in-service strategies such as the Resident Access Plan and Supportive Collection Pathway are progressed and aligned with Anti-Poverty strategies and plans.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis.
