You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.     In this role, you'll:   • Provide support and strong leadership to a team of business services professionals, ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day business operations and support services with seamless delivery for Regions, Business Units and Senior Executives.   • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, bringing a culture first mindset and navigating diverse perspectives to achieve positive outcomes in a dynamic environment, working in a matrix environment with embedded partners.   • Partner with senior leaders to shape, drive, and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives. Lead complex projects from ideation through to delivery, ensuring outcomes are timely, evidence-based, and of sustained strategic value.   • Monitor enterprise strategy, risks, and issues, assessing their impact on divisional priorities and operations.   • Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency, leveraging strong project management capabilities.   • Support procurement activities where necessary, or guide and coach within the division, ensuring adherence to governance, compliance, and risk management standards while providing strategic advice to Senior Leaders.   • Manage communication, reporting and process frameworks within division, including internal approvals, documentation, to support branch operations   • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring in partnership with Finance, ensuring optimal resource allocation and compliance with financial standards.   • Prepare detailed performance reports and executive-level briefing materials for corporate plans, presentations, annual reports, and ministerial submissions,   Flexible work location, with hybrid working arrangements available across designated office sites, subject to business needs.   For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.   About you   • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within a matrix structure, with proven ability to lead business operations (people leadership) and support senior executives.   • You thrive in complex environments and have strong ability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems proactively, and support senior executives with clarity and confidence.   • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.   • Forward-thinking leader who anticipates risks, identifies emerging issues early, and develops proactive mitigation strategies.   • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.   • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.   • Proven leadership experience in building high-performing, engaged, and cohesive teams.   • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant business applications.     Who we are   Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
