The Business & Marketplace Research Analyst will provide data to aid in the church’s understanding of how various practices affect business owners and consumers.  Ministry Area/Department Marketing Position Research Analyst (Business and Marketplace) Accountable To Kingdom Insights Director Ministry Target Business Owner, entrepreneurs, consumers in the church and community Position Is Volunteer Position May Be Filled By Church Member Minimum Maturity Level Stable, Maturing Christian; Tither Spiritual Gifts Discernment, Leadership, Administration Talents or Abilities Desired Strong understanding of local business and economic trends, Data gathering, market research, and analysis skills, Ability to build community connections, Clear written and verbal communication Best Personality Traits Professional • Analytical • Outgoing • Inquisitive • Strategic Passion For Equipping the church to minister effectively to business leaders and marketplace professionals. Length of Service Commitment One year minimum Anticipated Time Commitments: 1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 10-12 hours per week 2. Participating in meetings/training: 2 hours per month Responsibilities/Duties: 1. Collect and analyze data on fair wages, employment practices, and worker exploitation in the community. 2. Research how systemic poverty is perpetuated through business models that leverage raw materials or underpaid workers. 3. Document discriminatory practices tied to systemic racism in hiring, promotions, or consumer access. 4. Report on environmental stewardship among local businesses and the impact of neglect on vulnerable communities. 5. Research the role of businesses in the war economy (e.g., militarization, contracts, or community displacement). 6. Track and expose false moral narratives (e.g., religious nationalist rhetoric) that affect business ethics or policies. 7. Gather data on healthcare access through employers and how denial or limits affect workers. 8. Investigate barriers for migrant workers in fair employment, wages, and workplace treatment. 9. Provide a monthly report with key findings, trends, and recommendations for church and community response. 10. Share insights with ministry leaders as requested to shape workforce readiness, financial literacy, and business outreach programs.
