About the role AGL has an exciting opportunity for a Business Modelling & Assurance Analyst (12-Month Max Term) to join our Retail Transformation team, based in our Melbourne or Adelaide offices. In this role, you’ll play a critical role in supporting strategic decision‑making by developing, governing and assuring high‑quality business models, capability artefacts and supporting frameworks that enable AGL’s customer and retail transformation agenda. Location: We are open to this role being based out of either our Melbourne or Adelaide Corporate offices. What you’ll be doing: Developing, maintaining and governing business models, frameworks and assurance artefacts that support Retail Transformation initiatives Providing analytical insights and assurance to support business cases and program outcomes Supporting the curation and maintenance of business architecture artefacts, including capability and process models Applying modelling standards, principles and methodologies to ensure consistency and quality across initiatives Partnering with business stakeholders to understand requirements, test assumptions and validate outcomes Supporting impact assessments, change traceability and version control of key artefacts Contributing to continuous improvement of modelling tools, templates and governance practices Delivering clear, concise insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and program leaders What you’ll bring: Experience in business modelling, analysis, assurance or similar roles within the Energy sector (highly advantageous) Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with attention to detail and quality Familiarity with business capability models, process modelling and transformation frameworks Confidence working with financial and non‑financial data to support decision‑making Experience supporting large‑scale transformation or change programs (energy sector experience is essential) Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical insights A collaborative, structured and outcome‑focused mindset Proficiency in relevant modelling, analysis and presentation tools At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including: Flexible working options. Responsibilities
The Business Modelling & Assurance Analyst will develop, maintain, and govern business models and frameworks to support Retail Transformation initiatives. They will provide analytical insights and assurance to support business cases and program outcomes.
