Education and Experience: * High School education at a minimum with knowledge of accounting, computers, and office machines. * 2 years’ experience in processing accounts receivable and accounts payable * Data entry or personal computer experience necessary. * Requires high level organization and detailed-oriented skills. Physical Requirements: * Ability to sit for up to 75% of the work day. * Ability to stand and walk throughout the work day. * Must be able to access and navigate full campus. * Ability to maintain mental & visual attention to diversified operations. * Ability to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions. General Summary: The Business Office Manager provides financial support to the community and the Executive Director. This person is a key member of the community’s administrative team adhering to policies and procedures and upholding the community’s mission, philosophy, values and company’s vision, principles and Hospitality Promises. Essential Job Duties: * Acquire copies of Residency Agreements and Resident Handbook. Review and become knowledgeable with the community services provided. Assist with Residency Agreement process as assigned. * Process census changes (move-ins, move-outs, transfers and deaths) to Community Accounting department following their standard procedures in Yardi financial software.  * Process and deposit resident rent payments daily, manage resident ACH payments and send listing and backup to Executive Director daily. * Obtain and process ancillary resident charges from service points in the community (front desk, salon, dining room etc.) and email to Community Accounting department following their standard procedure. * Publish and distribute rent increase notices to residents after approval of Executive Director. * Review billing statements prior to distribution, including final accounting for residents upon death or move out. * Run accounts receivable aging report weekly and make collection efforts on delinquent resident accounts according to the Accounts Receivable Collections policy. * Adheres to Hospitality Promises; * We greet residents, employees and guests warmly, by name and with a smile. * We treat everyone with courteous respect. * We strive to anticipate resident, employee and guest needs and act accordingly. * We listen and respond enthusiastically in a timely manner. * We hold ourselves and one another accountable. * We embrace and value our differences. * We make residents, employees and guests feel important. * We ask “Is there anything else I can do for you?” * We maintain high levels of professionalism, both in conduct and appearance, at all times. * We pay attention to details.
