BOM POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the business office, billing, resident funds, etc. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial review of referrals and obtain authorizations as needed and work with residents and families to discuss facility rates, billing and payment terms, and Medicaid applications.
  • Keep up with monthly Medicaid, Medicare, and Managed Care insurance billing and follow-up with intermediaries on delinquent payments.
  • Accumulate and maintain vital statistics relating to admissions, discharges, expirations, transfers, and daily census of facility residents.
  • Maintain financial records including cash receipts, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll journal, and general ledger as directed.

    • Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Administrator, Prema Financial Solutions, or the corporate team.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
