Description:

Join our global Business Operational team within our Non-Financial Risk function where you will have an exciting opportunity to support a growing business, primarily in Infrastructure and Energy Capital, Coverage and Solutions and Macquarie Capital Venture Capital businesses.
Our Energy Capital business invest in development, construction and operational infrastructure assets across the Economic and Social, Digital and Energy Transition sectors. Our Coverage and Solutions business consists of our Corporate Advisory and Capital Markets businesses. Our Macquarie Capital Venture Capital businesses mainly invest in technology driven start-ups in Australia.

What role will you play?
You will be responsible for supporting the Asia Pacific business in the management of operational and other non-financial risks, across the principal transaction lifecycle, and provide expert risk advice to the business as they execute transactions and manage/oversee their portfolio of assets. In addition, you will work alongside deal teams to ensure that key non-financial risks arising from new business opportunities and transactions are identified and can be appropriately mitigated.
For transactions that are approved and completed, you will also play a key role in supporting ongoing portfolio management activities and executing post-implementation reviews.
You will also be responsible for the effective application of Macquarie’s Operational Risk Management Framework, in Macquarie Capital’s businesses in Asia Pacific, and support stakeholders to confirm that the Risk and Control Self-Assessment reflects the business risk and control profile.

What you offer

  • 6+ years’ of cumulative experience in governance, risk management or management consulting roles
  • The ability to engage and advise senior stakeholders on complex issues
  • Experience in driving change and building risk awarenessExperience working in a deal team or front office role, looking for a career change into risk would also be suitable for this role, though not mandatory.
