Overview The Business Operations group works in small project teams to identify and address complex business challenges. The team operates like an internal consulting group to define and drive strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across the business. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, intellectually curious, fast learners, comfortable with ambiguity and working independently, and able to focus on details while thinking strategically. He or she will have the ability to solve business problems of moderate scope and deliver insights that enable timely and effective operational decision-making. Responsibilities Partner with key business personnel in answering complex questions with both quantitative and qualitative insights Support special Business Operations projects to include planning, requirements gathering, development, management, analysis, training, and execution Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly and problem solve effectively Creates, delivers, and maintains basic client/internal reporting Conduct trend analysis and modeling that translates data into actionable insights and supports business development Develop, track and report on key operational metrics and playbooks in partnership with key business leaders Support quality improvement initiatives throughout the company Track financial impact of insights produced over time Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus (Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Accounting) or equivalent practical experience 1-3 years experience in data analytics, business analytics, data science, management consulting, investment banking, business strategy, operational excellence/process improvement, and/or Finance Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and interpersonal skills Experience presenting and analyzing large quantities of data with strong spreadsheet and database query experience Comfortable working in fast-paced environment with limited guidance Advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint Prior experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Microstrategy, or DataMeer) (preferred) SQL and database management experience (preferred) Extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously Process improvement experience Ability to optimize/automate workload Mental Requirements: Communicating with others to exchange information. Problem-solving and thinking critically. Completing tasks independently. Interpreting data. Maintaining focus. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area. Base compensation ranges from $60,000.00 to $80,000.00. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
