Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Business Operations Director will be an integral part of the UKI Board. You will lead the Business Operations Team driving them towards a first class internal and external customer experience, functioning as a strategic collaborator, informing and shaping the commercial strategy aimed at maximizing the opportunities for JnJ MedTech in UK and Ireland. Your strategic insights are grounded on the knowledge of local healthcare ecosystems, policy, trends and guidelines.
You will have a strategic engagement with the Board to both support as well as constructively challenge all processes and drive improvements from an end-to-end customer experience, through data driven decisions.
You will help shape the external environment by deploying deep customer and competitor insights; use market insights and strategic commercial capabilities to build new commercial models and innovative solutions that drive growth and optimize shareholder value.
Through working as part of UKI MT LT you will gain valuable insight into the internal workings of the JJMT business. You will help define how strategic process initiatives will eventually impact business performance and be able to provide appropriate prioritisation to such initiatives; with knowledge sharing capability to drive speed of decision making (governance) and mobilisation (execution) required to make the organisation first movers in taking advantage of strategic opportunities
This role provides also critical input into the global innovation agenda through gaining and assimilating customer insights to define key unmet needs, and through early, proactive identification and assessment of evidence needs of different stakeholder within the country for market registration, access & adoption.
This role is also responsible for the design and execution of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Education strategy. It leads the Professional Education team in developing comprehensive educational pathways and programs, integrating innovative and digital solutions, and applying best practices. The role ensures alignment with both the regional and country-level J&J MedTech business strategies, while advancing the company’s commitment to healthcare professional education. It also involves close collaboration with HEMA and Government Affairs teams to support strategic objectives.
The Business Operations Director reports to the Country JnJ MedTech Managing Director for UKI.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Full Responsibility for Business Operations, including key parameters:
  • Business Intelligence – Managing business tools to provide one source of truth for data to the business; managing the SFE team.
  • Managing the Global Education Team to provide relevant solutions / training.
  • Develops data driven commercial and market intelligence to the business.
  • Leads relevant Commercial Projects across Business Operations and the wider business.
  • Strategizes the planning and prioritisation of all creative content and design through assessing the business needs through to execution.
  • Partner with colleagues in other J&J segments and different parts of EMEA on projects that shape the wider footprint across the cluster and demonstrated ability to navigate the matrix.
  • Provides Enterprise experience and capabilities and exposure in both Franchise and Service and Solution business models.
  • Drive and own Commercial Governance to maintain an independent view across the business.
  • Management of the Medical Affairs Leads aligned to Orthopaedics and Surgery.
  • Compliance with Sox, ethics and legal requirements, and managing the compliance team.
  • Develops positive relationships with key internal and external partners.
