Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and highly motivated Business Operations Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team. You will lead and manage all non-teaching operational functions of the academy – including HR, payroll, finance, estates, administration, data protection, and health & safety – ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our mission to deliver outstanding student outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in implementing TMET’s operational priorities locally, ensuring Rushey Mead Academy’s systems reflect the Trust’s values and strategic direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee school operations and ensure compliance with trust, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage finance, HR, payroll, premises, and admin services effectively and efficiently
  • Act as the school’s Health & Safety Officer and Data Protection Lead
  • Lead internal audits, risk management, and statutory reporting
  • Develop and improve systems and processes that enhance performance and value for money
  • Line manage support staff and foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement
