This role is responsible for establishing a disciplined operating rhythm, enabling clear translation of strategy into action, and ensuring effective orchestration across people, programs, and priorities. You will operate as a trusted advisor to the S&O leadership team, amplifying leadership direction and enabling delivery of GN&T and enterprise objectives. The Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of Security & Operations, partnering closely with senior leaders to shape and execute strategic priorities aligned to Telstra’s Connected Future 30 strategy. You will play a key role in improving how the business operates—driving clarity, alignment, and performance across multiple programs of work, including operating model efficiencies, transformation initiatives, and people priorities. The role offers the opportunity to influence decision-making at a senior level, streamline execution across complex environments, and enable high-performing leadership teams through strong governance, communication, and stakeholder alignment. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Orchestration Lead S&O strategy integration and translate priorities into clear, measurable plans Manage interdependencies to ensure aligned and cohesive execution Operating Rhythm & Governance Establish and run S&O leadership forums and performance cadence Drive accountability through clear governance, tracking, and follow-through Executive Effectiveness Optimise executive focus through planning, prioritisation, and coordination Provide concise insights and briefing materials to support decision-making Communications & Narrative Deliver clear and consistent executive communication Enable alignment through structured messaging and information flow People & Culture Align workforce initiatives to strategic priorities Partner with stakeholders to support capability and engagement Stakeholder Alignment Enable cross-functional alignment across GN&T and Telstra Identify risks early and support leaders with insight-led decisions About You You are a strategic and highly influential leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys enabling others to perform at their best. You bring: Proven experience in business operations, strategy execution, or transformation roles Strong capability in executive-level stakeholder engagement and influence Ability to translate strategy into practical, measurable outcomes Experience working across complex organisations with multiple stakeholders Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information High levels of accountability, initiative, and execution discipline Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity and alignment Highly desirable: Experience in cyber security, network or IT operations environments Exposure to workforce planning or organisational transformation Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, strategy or related disciplines We're an iconic Aussie brand with a global footprint.
