General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Under general supervision and with intermittent review, this position supports Depot operations, engineering, and administration by serving as a liaison between the Program Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing Departments. Reviews and monitors depot progress and expedites critical components. Supports the Depot Repair Process. This position involves the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Prefer a general knowledge of production and engineering support principles and concepts and a general understanding of practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office systems with special emphasis with Excel.
  • Have experience organizing, planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.
  • Possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for analyzing business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business processing systems utilizing SAP, BI, and Oracle databases.
  • Define requirements, trends and business cases for technology developments.
  • Determines system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
  • Management of government material to include requirements for Item Unique Identification (IUID)/UID registration for the US ARMY, USAF, Customs/Border Patrol and Other Foreign Government Agencies.
  • Coordinates with Depot manufacturing engineers and production to resolve issues.
  • Responsible for defining all aspects for Lost, Theft, Damaged and Destroyed (LTDD) equipment.
  • Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
  • Creates and updates Depot spreadsheets.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Investigative skills with the ability to research across varying scenarios and be able to translate those findings to management both verbally and through documentation.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
