JOB SUMMARY

Dominion Energy’s Electric Transmission System Protection Data Communications Engineering team is seeking a motivated candidate to join our team to help us manage our internal documentation, track project metrics, and manage the flow of information between our team and others. This is an exciting time to join Electric Transmission as we are growing to meet the challenge of industry-leading projects and initiatives like interconnecting 5000 MW of solar generation in the next 5 years, developing the first utility-owned offshore wind project in US federal waters off the Atlantic coast, supporting the largest data center market in the world, and integrating new technology like FACTS Devices (STATCOMs) and modular GIS substations to meet our Net-Zero Carbon goals by 2050.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

  • Business Process Analyst - 2-3+ years of relevant experience in a directly related field.
  • Senior Business Process Analyst - 5+ years of previous experience with fully executing projects.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, along with knowledge of when to get others involved.
  • Proficiency in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products and SAP is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a project tracking tool to improve workload estimates and assist with resource allocation for Data Communications project work.
  • Lead on-time completion of Data Communications engineering deliverables in support of Electric Transmission’s capital plan, collaborating with engineers and field teams.
  • Coordinate assignments and scheduling for system-wide projects, including substation equipment upgrades and fiber network enhancements.
  • Streamline documentation processes for new communication equipment and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance for field personnel.
  • Use Microsoft Office Programs to create spreadsheets, develop written documents, document processes, and develop graphics for presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned
