Description

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a Business Process Automation Specialist to support our federal client, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), with the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated business processes and applications. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of USGS programs through the use of technology.
This is a REMOTE role.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing and maintaining business processes and applications.
  • High Proficiency in InfoPath and SharePoint Workflow.
  • High Proficiency in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience maintaining and updating existing codebases.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to obtain a Federal government-issued personal identification card.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required prior to starting work.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain automated business processes and applications using InfoPath, SharePoint Workflow, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), and Microsoft Excel (including Visual Basic for Applications).
  • Plan and implement approved business solutions and tools, and develop metrics and methods to track operational efficiency.
  • Design and carry out process improvement methodologies and evaluate data to measure program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills to develop and implement processes and procedures.
  • Provide strong customer service and effectively communicate with stakeholders, translating USGS business processes into technical requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Present recommendations for new or changes to existing products and program concepts.
  • Manage project tasks, ensuring completion within established timeframes, and provide timely, clear, and concise communication.
