A DAY IN THE LIFE

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Industrial Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team as a Business Process Improvement Analyst. This role is designed for a problem-solver who is passionate about applying engineering principles and lean methodologies to optimize processes, enhance flow, and eliminate waste. You will work on strategic projects that directly impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost, providing an exceptional foundation for a career in medical device manufacturing and leadership.

  • Plans, performs, and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
  • Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
  • Organizes, leads, and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Collects data to identify the root cause of problems.
  • Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
  • May deliver presentations and training courses, including measurement, analysis, improvement, and control.
  • Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
  • Communicates team progress.
  • Performs cost and benefit analyses.
  • Design and implement efficient layouts, material flow systems, and standardized work procedures to improve productivity and ergonomics.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires a Bachelor degree
  • and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice to Have (Preferred ):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S, Standardized Work, DMAIC).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience in a FDA-regulated environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Biotech).
  • Lean Six Sigma Belt certification or training.
  • Experience with process validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) is a plus.
