Piper Companies is seeking a Business Process Lead to join a leader in the consumer goods manufacturing industry for a full-time, hybrid 6 month contract position located in Greensboro, NC. The Business Process Lead will lead the design, implementation, and adoption of SAP S/4HANA business processes, acting as a strategic liaison between business teams, system integrators, and IT to ensure successful digital transformation and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE BUSINESS PROCESS LEAD INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business process design and SAP implementations, with a focus on S/4HANA Source-to-Pay processes.
  • Strong understanding of business processes within the CPG or Tobacco industry, with the ability to translate functional needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Skilled in reviewing and approving technical documentation, including RICEFW specs, configuration settings, and interface designs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change requests and defect resolutions during testing and deployment phases, and support users through cutover and hypercare.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, ensuring alignment and integrity of the global process template throughout the S/4HANA implementation lifecycle.
  • Lead workshops, testing, and change management activities to drive end-user readiness and adoption across U.S. markets and factories.
  • Oversee the review and validation of functional specifications, configurations, and technical designs provided by system integrators.
  • Manage resolution of system defects and ensure quality standards are met across all deployment phases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support data, reporting, training, and business change initiatives that enable a successful transition to the Target Operating Model.
