Job # EM25129 Job Title Business Process & Operational Excellence Manager Office Location Roanoke, VA Business Function /Department Energy & Infrastructure Solutions / Operations Sales Territory, if applicable N/A General Role Description Drive process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency across E&IS Operations through team leadership, cross-functional initiatives, and resource optimization. Role Accountabilities - Manage the development and improvement of business processes to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness - Lead automation initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort - Align AI solutions with business and technical needs in collaboration with the Information Technology team - Implement strategies and tools to increase productivity and optimize resource utilization across E&IS Operations - Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate process performance and support continuous improvement - Design and implement training programs that support the adoption of new tools, systems, and processes - Create and maintain process documentation, including RACI charts and process maps, to ensure clarity and accountability - Develop and manage intern and new engineer rotational programs to support organizational goals and employee development General Employee Accountabilities - Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by manager - Give manager best advice - Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specified - Cooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager - Exemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment - Comply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws - Recommend viable improvements proactively - Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Manager Accountabilities - Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees - Plan for, appropriately assign, resource, and integrate the work of the team - Lead, expect, and implement continuous improvement - Own the output of the team - Ensure team members fulfill functional and general employee accountabilities - Exercise effective managerial leadership to include - Two-way managerial team working - Fair and just treatment of direct reports - Context setting - Planning - Task assignment - Ongoing performance management - Coaching - Selection and orientation - De-selection and dismissal Manager-Once-Removed Accountabilities - Ensure effective leadership and fair and just treatment for their direct reports once removed - Ensure talent pool development at the direct report once removed level Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field - 5 years of experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, or related roles - 2 years of experience leading teams or managing cross-functional initiatives - 2 years of experience implementing process automation, productivity tools, or digital solutions - Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and collaboration or workflow mapping tools - Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts - Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills - Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility - Availability to travel domestically up to 10%, sometimes with limited notice Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated success applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies - Demonstrated success implementing automation or AI tools to increase operational efficiency - Proficiency in resource planning, forecasting, or performance tracking tools - Proficiency in SharePoint, Power Automate, or other collaboration and workflow systems Link to TMEIC Corporation Americas website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
