Role Summary This role leads multi-year programs with cross-divisional impact, applying deep expertise within a given discipline. Programs often have enterprise-wide implications. This role may also include developing program governance best practices and mentoring project teams on adherence to methodologies and standards. Responsibilites 1. Manages programs or major workstreams of a broader program. Ensures that the scope of the program aligns with business priorities and that business value is properly measured for prioritization. 2. Develops and maintains broad knowledge and awareness of Financial Services industry forces, competition, and trends to act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Monitors financial, legal, and other regulatory environments to ensure projects are aligned with the overall company strategy and market conditions. 3. Communicates with stakeholders, leaders, team members, management, and department partners to ensure that requirements and priorities are understood. Monitors project progress and results and submits regular status reports to management and internal and external stakeholders. Ensures the development and execution of business change management and communication plans. 4. Builds and maintains relationships across program stakeholders and proactively fosters effective communication between internal and external parties. Drives key decisions to ensure alignment with overarching goals across stakeholders. 5. Ensures all steps are taken to mitigate risk and maintains control, compliance, audit, and legal requirements. Maintains an appropriate level of technical and business knowledge to support program implementation. 6. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. 7. Contributes to the creation and implementation of project governance frameworks, standards, and templates to support consistent execution across programs. 8. Tracks and consolidates project dependencies, financials, and status updates across multiple related initiatives, ensuring visibility and alignment at leadership levels. 9. Supports training and mentoring of project staff on best practices in program management, tools, and reporting processes. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 10 years of experience in program management, strategic initiatives, or PMO functions within large organizations, preferably in financial services. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is an advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to drive cross-functional alignment. Proficient in program lifecycle management, risk control frameworks, and change management strategies. Ability to handle complex interdependencies and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office.
