Description
Program and implement pricing algorithms for all lines of business. Support actuaries regarding the various tools to be utilized during implementation to ensure high performance and efficiency in the maintenance of these models. Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations within the context of optimization and maintainability. Key Responsibilities Perform functions related to the programming of pricing tools Participate in the functional analysis of requirements, in collaboration with the actuarial, development, and product management teams. Program various required changes in coordination with the pricing teams, utilizing the IBM WODM platform and/or Rating PC. Participate in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of various applications; resolve system issues encountered in connection with various projects or during daily, weekly, and monthly production cycles. Develop and update required documentation as part of support activities and projects (analysis, solutions, reports on direction/strategy, impact assessments, etc.). Provide functional support, as needed, to the development, production, and operations teams. Ensure compliance with standards and delivery quality Collaborate on the execution of functional testing and perform the unit testing necessary to fulfill various requests. Provide support to business analysts regarding our pricing systems. Analyze existing systems, identify logical programming challenges, and assess the material and financial impacts (time, resources, etc.) on said systems when processing change requests. Contribute to team performance Conduct necessary research to establish organizational rules, development frameworks, architectural patterns, proofs of concept, programming "best practices," etc. 3.2 Actively participate in the solutions implemented within the scope of application development. Conduct performance analyses and generate system statistics. Provide technical support to team members. Assume any other tasks or responsibilities inherent to this position. Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, or other relevant field of study. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Excellent computer skills. Experience in programming and/or information management. Ability to understand requirements from insurance domain experts. Experience with ODM or Guidewire is an asset.
