DB Cargo UK are currently recruiting for a Business Project Manager to join our Projects Team within our Transformation and Digitalisation Department on a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will join a team working across active UK wide business initiatives where you will collaborate with Business Sponsors and Business Leads ensuring the on time delivery of business projects within a structured project management process.
You’ll be responsible for providing up to date accurate reporting of project status, plans, risks and any remediation activities where projects are off target.
The role will be based at our Head Office in Doncaster and include the flexibility of hybrid working 2 days a week depending on business needs.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experience project manager with high resilience and the ability to thrive in challenging environments or within organisations undergoing transformation, restructuring or turnarounds.
Experience of project managing a Modern Workplace systems introduction would be preferrable
Previous experience with business change or digital transformation will be beneficial for this role.
You will be able to demonstrate methodology experience in the likes of Prince2/APM qualified, Agile/Scrum.
Knowledge and experience of cost-benefit analysis or case co-creation.
You will have a strong understanding of governance principles, control frameworks, and risk management practices.
You will be able to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
You will have the proven ability to drive results and effect change in complex organisational settings.
Experience of working in complex/regulated environments.
The role of Business Project Manager is varied working across initiatives within the company. There will be pillars of responsibility associated with this role, but not limited to, detailed below.
Project Management: Lead projects to drive efficiencies across the organisation. Defining project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders. Manage resistance effectively, building strong relationships and fostering a collaborative environment.
Change Management: Drive change initiatives to promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Advocate for necessary changes to existing practices and processes to strengthen governance and control.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, control procedures, and project progress. Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor the effectiveness of implemented governance and control measures and identify areas for improvement. Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders and adjust strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
